Istanbul: Day 2

o Otel sahibinin hayat hikayesi duyuldu;
o 17 odalık otelde 5 masalık kahvaltı yapma mekânı ile tanışıldı (kahvaltıyı abi hemen iki dakikada hazırlıyor: kesilmiş domates ve salatalık; hazır yağ ve bal; ekmek dilimleri; ve çay);
o 2 gün geçti, 6 katlı otelde hâlâ başka konaklanan görünmedi;
o Bambi'de Kumru yenildi ve Atom (fruitshake) içildi;
o Sağnak yağışın şiddetle devam ettiği hissedildi;
o Taksim'de çok sakin bir park bulundu;
o Bizden en fazla 50 metre uzak olan Starbucks'ta ilk siftah yapıldı;
o Starbucks'ta rahatlıkla 2 saat kitap okunulduğu keşfedildi;
o Yemekteyiz programındaki Mustafa'ya bol bol küfür edildi;
.

Starbucks is on the Boycott Israel list because its chairman is an active Zionist who morally and financially supports Israel

Dank je mey...we genieten er ook heerlijk van..we doen lekker rustig aan..Er is echt heel veel regen, dus buiten de Istiklal Caddesi zijn we nog nergens geweest, maar dat alleen is al geweldig...

then why is it that you have a boycott israel link on your blog. doesnt make sense.

Anoniem zei

the link on your blog (boycott israel) leads to this one: http://www.inminds.co.uk/boycott-starbucks.html.

so is it still ''so they say''.

ow i understand, youre on vacation and that doesnt count ofcourse. my mistake.

I don't remember me saying I was boycotting Starbucks.

The link is a global boycot. I try to boycot as much as possible, but not everything. Besides of that, there's no Starbucks in Holland, so I never had to consider about boycotting it. At the moment it's just practical for me to read at the Starbucks. I'm not saying it's good.

One thing is for sure, I can't boycot everything. Some will, some won't. For the ones who want to boycot everything and want to know what to boycot, see the link. Others like me are building it up. It's difficult to just boycot everything in a snap. If you can, bravo, I can't.

Thanks for the remark though. You're right, I shouldn't go. I'll try to keep this in mind.

its not saying that you boycott starbucks, its saying 'boycott israel'.

cannot boycott everything, because starbucks is a huge need like bread and water (is it so hard to drink your coffee and read your book somewhere else, or is it just you want to be popular in the starbucks society)? there is also starbucks in holland, but if there wasnt, does that mean than you can do it in another country? like not vasting while traveling?
saying 'its difficult and not everyone can do it the whole way' is the easy way, you could be honest by saying 'i didnt know', cause what you say is really silly. because knowing it and doing it, would be much more awful.
i think you have to be more careful with the things you write down and the things you actually do.
